What if design was diverse like all humans? What if products grew in your garden? Inspired by the research and work of David Garcia Studio i produced a series of thoughts on furniture design.
Around 1.000 different types of bamboo exist. The fastest growing type is Bambusa sinospinosa also known as Chinese Thorny bamboo. Bamboo is measured to grow up to 120cm a day. Bamboo originated from tropical and subtropical climate areas, but are also found in temperate climate areas such as Denmark. Mountain bamboo are capable of withstand rain, snow and wind.
By creating furniture template it would be possible to grow furniture structures in your garden, greenhouses or plantation. You would end up with a set of unique furniture, shaped by mother nature — just for you.
